Music & Choir

St Paul's Church has a long and rich musical tradition which it maintains to the present day and which lifts and blesses our worship. We are privileged to have a high quality choir of 28 children and 40 adults and one of the finest organs in the country, full details of which can be found on the National Pipe Organ Register.

The choir practises every Friday at 7.30 pm (Junior Choir practice at 6.30 pm). If you are interested in joining, please contact Fiona Johnson on 01892 532281. The choir sings for the services every Sunday. Details of special choral services can be found below.

In addition to singing for services at the Parish Church, the choir also visits Cathedrals to sing Evensong. We have recently sung at Peterborough, Salisbury, St Emundsbury, Southwark and St Albans Cathedrals.

In August 2021 the choir visited St Albans and sang three services. The Sunday Sung Eucharist was recorded and available on YouTube although the choir could not be seen.

The choir was chosen by BBC South East at Christmas 2015 to provide a carol to close their early evening news broadcast on 23rd December.
