THE YOUTH COUNCIL MISSION STATEMENT

YOUTH COUNCIL OF ST. PAUL’S, RUSTHALL

BE THE CHANGE

VALUING AND EMPOWERING EVERY YOUNG PERSON’S VOICE

- TO PRESENT, SHARE and HELP ADDRESS THE CHALLENGES and ISSUES FACED BY TODAY’S YOUNG PEOPLE

- FOR THE YOUNG TO PARTICIPATE POSITIVELY IN THE DECISION-MAKING STRUCTURE OF THE CHURCH

- TO DEVELOP COMMUNICATION and SOCIAL ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY

- TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP and PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The group is open to all young people age 11 -18 i.e. school years 7 -13 who either live in the Parish or who have a connection to Rusthall.

Whilst the Youth Council is an initiative driven and sponsored by St. Paul’s Parish Church, you do not have to attend Church or be of the Christian faith. We are open to all.

The St. Paul’s Youth Council is completely free to join. Anyone is welcome to just turn up at any of our future meetings where you can be sure to receive the warmest of welcomes. Don’t be shy – Harry the Dog loves coming to the Youth Council meetings and is guaranteed to welcome you with a wag of his tail. You can find details of all our future meetings and what has been planned for them in our Diary tab. All our meetings, unless expressed otherwise, take place at the Lodge next to the Parish Church and there is always pizza, cakes and drinks for everyone.

Three Youth Council members enjoying their sponsored bike ride from Groombridge to Forest Row. All in support of the Bee initiative. It’s keeping them bzzzzzing busy.
Some well earned and deserved R & R. It’s just as important to have fun. It’s not all nose to the grindstone.
